Madison couldn’t believe it when her friend Val walked in wearing the exact jacket that she had tried to get her mom to buy for her on Saturday. Madison’s mom had said that she already had a coat that was fine and she wasn’t going to buy something that she didn’t even need. Madison didn’t want a jacket that was fine. She wanted the awesome jacket that her mom told her she couldn’t have. She wanted the coat Val was wearing. At recess, Val wore the jacket outside. Madison was so jealous that all she could do was think about how unfair her mom was. After school, Madison ran into her house and told her mom all about her friend’s new coat.
