Flip it When you Slip It!
Take a rubber band and put it around your wrist. Flip it each time you catch yourself saying or thinking anything negative. Go easy on yourself. This is not meant to hurt you, just to get your attention. A “light” snap is all you need. It is so simple, but it works! It is an easy and effective way to help you become aware of your thought patterns. Every time you say something negative, try replacing it with something positive. Replace the lie with the truth. Many times we don’t even realize how negative our thoughts are until we stop and identify them.
